      JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Staff Accountant to provide reliable, timely, efficient support to our finance and accounting team in Toronto or Montreal. You will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the be relied upon to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.

      Staff Accountants provide a wide variety of support services to the brokerage team and requires being detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a team player attitude. There is flexibility to work from home most of the week and requires being in office one day per week.

      WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

      • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, from balance sheet and account reconciliations to financial statement preparation
      • Assist with preparation of monthly financial package in order to finalize reporting within the proper time frame for review
      • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals and allocations
      • Assist with Budgets and Forecasts as needed
      • Assist with various functions within the finance department as assigned by Finance Manager (i.e. tax support, audit support, expense analysis, etc.)
      • Special projects and any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned

      WHAT YOU BRING:

      • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance – CPA, CGA, CMA would be an asset
      • 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity
      • Real estate industry experience is an asset
      • Advanced working knowledge of Excel
      • Experience with PeopleSoft would be an asset
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
      • Good verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
      • Positive, professional attitude and works well in a team environment
      • Able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
      • Proactive and takes initiative
      • Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgement, and work with minimal supervision

      JLL est à la recherche d'un(e) professionnel(le) dynamique pour rejoindre notre équipe finances et comptabilité à Toronto ou Montréal. Dans ce rôle stratégique, vous apporterez un soutien fiable, réactif et efficace à notre département financier tout en collaborant avec diverses parties prenantes à tous les niveaux organisationnels. Votre talent pour planifier, prioriser et organiser une charge de travail variée dans un environnement évolutif sera essentiel. Notre comptable idéal(e) possède une excellente minutie, des compétences supérieures en organisation et un véritable esprit d'équipe pour fournir un large spectre de services à notre équipe de courtage. Nous proposons une formule de travail flexible avec télétravail possible la majeure partie de la semaine et une présence au bureau requise seulement une journée hebdomadaire.

      CE QUE VOUS FEREZ:

      • Effectuer les activités de clôture de fin de mois et de fin d’exercice, des rapprochements du bilan et des comptes jusqu’à la préparation des états financiers
      • Aider à la préparation du dossier financier mensuel afin de finaliser les rapports dans les délais requis pour examen
      • Préparer les écritures de journal, les charges à payer et les répartitions mensuelles
      • Aider à établir les budgets et les prévisions au besoin
      • Aider à diverses fonctions au sein du service des finances selon les directives du gestionnaire des finances (p. ex., soutien fiscal, soutien à l’audit, analyse des dépenses, etc.)
      • Projets spéciaux et toutes autres fonctions et responsabilités raisonnables assignées

      CE QUE VOUS APPORTEZ:

      • Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou en finances – CPA, CGA, CMA serait un atout
      • Plus de deux ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire
      • L’expérience dans le secteur immobilier constitue un atout
      • Connaissance pratique approfondie d’Excel
      • Une expérience avec PeopleSoft constituerait un atout
      • Solides compétences en organisation et en gestion du temps
      • Soucieux du détail avec de solides compétences analytiques
      • Bonnes compétences en communication verbale et écrite
      • Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles et compétences en service à la clientèle
      • Attitude positive et professionnelle et capacité à bien travailler en équipe
      • Capable de bien travailler de façon autonome tout en ayant la capacité de collaborer efficacement avec les autres
      • Proactif et fait preuve d’initiative
      • Capable de préserver la confidentialité, de faire preuve de jugement et de travailler avec un minimum de supervision
