- Provides applicable information, makes decisions, and acts on administrative matters in conformance with established policies and procedures; maintains continuous responsibility for operation of administrative functions.
- Attends required meetings and conferences and advises director on business conducted regarding actions required of the office.
- Maintains awareness of potential uses of automation to increase effectiveness; solves individual operating problems; and ensures compliance with existing program requirements.
- Performs projects within the Directorate to include, but not limited to, analytical assessments of management improvement, organizational methods, procedures, documentation, and control procedures.
- Prepares and coordinates briefings to reflect the mission, vision, and values of the Directorate, Joint Munitions Command (JMC), Army Materiel Command (AMC), and the Army.
- Performs a variety of staff assistance support assignments to include command project/action tracking, records management, etc. Develops necessary plans, goals, and schedules to facilitate accomplishment of Directorate functions and missions.
- Coordinates with other organizations to ensure established policies and procedures are followed when developing new or modified procedures for administering program services.
- You will be required to Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Serves as advisor and primary action officer for the Director, acts as a trust agent for all personnel actions and Personal Identifiable Information (PII).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or requirements requirements described below. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Assisting with the coordination of administrative programs at various levels of the organization; compile statistical data/administrative reports used in briefings; AND
2) Assist with various administrative duties (i.e. management studies and special projects); assists in analyzing and interpreting data sources to obtain accurate information.
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration, public administration, finance, contract management, or procurement.
OR
Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:
(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR
(2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR
(3) Honor Society Membership - Applicants may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https://www.achsnatl.org/).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
This position will be filled at the GS-07, GS-09, or GS-11 level.
Non-competitive promotion to the full performance level (GS-11) is authorized at management's discretion.
