What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide comprehensive legal services to eligible clients in priority areas such as housing, employment, public benefits, education, and leadership development
- Review and supervise the work of support staff and community workers
- Engage in statewide impact activities, including litigation and community economic development
- Advocate for Indigenous Latin American communities in legislative, administrative, and regulatory forums
- Provide community education, training, and subject matter expertise on legal rights and serving Indigenous communities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Admitted to practice law in the State of CA or willingness to take the next CA Bar Exam
- Demonstrated commitment to working with low-income clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Strong people skills and ability to maintain positive relations with diverse populations
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel regionally
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with preference for trilingual candidates (Indigenous Latin American language, Spanish, and English)

- Experience working with Indigenous Latin American communities

- Prior experience in a non-profit legal services environment
- Previous experience in legal services
