- Perform all aspects of site design such as processing surveys, grading, drainage, stormwater management, water distribution and sewer collection, erosion control, SWPPP and reports, construction cost estimating
- Prepare site plans, designs and drawings
- Coordinate daily activities/scheduling of various assigned projects
- Interface with review agencies by phone, in writing and in person to communicate and establish project designs
- Conduct field studies and surveys to collect technical data
- Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical data to plan and design projects
- Prepare design computations and quality estimates
- Develop budgets, schedules and technical project specifications
- Assist senior level engineers with project design, project specifications, and inspections
- Provide necessary coordination and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in preparation of presentation material for client meetings and public review sessions
- Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred
- 2-4 years applicable work experience with education emphasis in site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT certification)
- Ability to clearly communicate with staff
- Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
