  Job Description Summary:

  PayPal, Inc. seeks Staff Data Engineer (Data Engineer 3) in New York, NY
  
  Job Duties: Design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL and reporting solutions and processes. Build, forecast, and report on metrics that drive strategy and facilitate decision making for key business initiatives. Tune application and query performance using profiling tools and SQL. Design and deliver high quality data architecture to support business analyst, data scientists, and customer reporting needs. Collect and analyze large data sets, refine existing data sources to continually improve data quality and implement business logic using efficient transformations. Lead and implement best practices in reporting and analysis including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

  Job Description:

  Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Business Analytics or closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered, data engineer, or a related occupation.

  Special Skill Requirements:

  (1) Python;

  (3) Snowflake;

  (4) Kafka;

  (5) Spark;

  (6) AWS;

  (7) Docker;

  (8) Kubernetes;

  (9) Terraform JavaScript; and

  Additional Job Description:

  Base Salary: $142,563-204,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
