What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and demonstrate applications showcasing the capabilities of the E-commerce platform
- Conduct product demonstrations for potential clients
- Develop custom storefront prototypes using leading APIs
- Collaborate with an agile team
- Serve as a technical resource for the sales team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
- Extensive experience with Ruby, Rails, and JavaScript
- Passion for backend development and database connectivity
- Proficiency in SQL and Git version control
- Strong technical aptitude and execution skills
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with eCommerce website development
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus stores and the admin system
- Knowledge of Liquid templating for custom Shopify storefronts
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React
- Experience with Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen, Storefront API, AJAX API, and Metafields
- Proficiency in Shopify development documentation and Shopify CLI
- Experience with serverless functions or cloud services
- Ability to handle large datasets
- Familiarity with 3rd party services, REST APIs, webhooks, and Shopify apps
- Proficiency in designing frontend mockups and wireframes using Adobe XD or Figma
