      Position: Staff Dev Ops Engineer

      Duties: Develop cutting-edge software and modify existing software to add features. Develop software solutions using techniques such as acceptance test driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across development, quality assurance, infrastructure, operations, and release management roles. Assist design and development of software systems like Jenkins Automation, ECS, CI/CD implementation of Microservices in a Linux CI/CD environment and Microsoft Technologies to build and work on both tactical and strategic assignments. Review software to identify changes required for operations in a cloud architecture. Write scripts and automation using programming languages such as Perl/ Python/ Groovy/ Java/ Bash/ Json. Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch and manage source control using the software GIT. Deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly. Perform configuration management for all different applications and manage the production release process that ensures the reliability and availability of the platform. Use best practices for infrastructure as code (eg : Service Catalog, Salt), software build tools (Maven, ANT, Shell) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Hudson), and infrastructure automation (Splunk and New Relic). Ensure design and code reviews, analysis of code components and code coverage of Unit test cases. Drive end-to-end quality with effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing. Define and refine metrics used to assess application performance, utilization, and scalability. Contribute to the execution of performance analysis and capacity planning activities.

      Education Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field.

      Experience Required: 3 years’ experience as Dev Ops Engineer, Software Engineer, Application Engineer, or related occupation.

      Alternate requirements: Will also accept bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience as Dev Ops Engineer, Software Engineer, Application Engineer, or related occupation in lieu of Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.

      Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

    • Cloud Management and Cloud Engineering using Amazon web services.
    • Infrastructure as a Code deployments using Terraform.
    • Jenkins and Bamboo for Continuous Integration and Continuous Development/Deployment.
    • Database administration using one of the following: MySQL, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.
    • System Administration using Linux/Unix.
    • Cloud migration planning to perform On Premise to Cloud migrations.
    • Monitoring and Observability using the following: New Relic and Splunk.
    • Reports to Coppell, Texas office at least twice per week. Up to 3 days/wk telecommuting may be permitted w/in 50 miles of Coppell, Texas office.

      Salary: $139,464 to $179,830 per year
