      SUMMARY:

      Qorvo's fast-growing Power Management division focusing on Power loss protection, PM ICs, Motor Control, and Battery Management solutions for a wide range of Mobile, Consumer, IOT and Industrial applications is looking for an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer to create next generation and world-class designs in power management solutions.

      This position will be located in San Jose, CA.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Work closely with device, mechanical and solution engineers to integrate sensing products into customer’s electronic devices.
      • Work closely with different OEMs on next generation products such as Laptop, Mobile phones, Automotive steering wheels & smart surfaces, Fitness Tracker and Industrial display panels.
      • Prepare schematic design, PCB layout, gerber generation, BOM and Fabrication notes.
      • Debug electrical issues on the fabricated test boards, modules and prototypes.
      • Manage vendors to provide on-time delivery of the designed boards and modules.
      • Work closely with IC designers to perform bench level verification of the new chips.
      • Solve system level issues from internal or external customers.
      • Work with software integration, electrical design and mechanical design.
      • Work closely with MEMs and CMOS designers, help them continuously improve the family of products Qorvo offers.
      • Assume lab management duty.
      • Modify hardware and manual build for quick proof of concepts for internal purpose and customers’ requests.
      • May telecommute.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, and 24 months of work experience in the job offered, or in an engineering-related occupation.
      • PCB design tools such as Altium.
      • Sourcing components to meet design requirements.
      • PCB layout creation and preparation for fabrication.
      • Sketching mechanical design conceptual drawing.
      • Layout guideline of CSP products for customer MP.
      • Designing Proof-of-Concepts.
      • Problem root cause tracing in system integration.

      Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $160,500 - $208,700, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)

      Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
