      Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Staff Electronics Engineer – Installation and Builds (I&B) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Deputy to our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be within our Avionics Integration Organization. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

      Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Serve as Deputy to I&B IPT Manager and when necessary, serve as I&B IPT Manager DOA
      • Develop and adhere to the budget baseline using the Earn Value Management (EVM) process, including development of discrete work packages, providing weekly status of IMS tasks, and providing input to monthly Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates.
      • Oversee technical, cost and schedule performance for complex technical projects for a wide range of systems and technologies to include communications, ground mission systems and their associated hardware and system infrastructures.
      • Lead engineering process development, continuous improvement, training, and affordability initiatives to include Digital Transformation and Agile implementation
      • Represent I&B IPT in various program meetings to include Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) working group and monthly Earned Value Management System (EVMS) review
      • Lead proposal efforts for I&B IPT as required
      • Drive risk, issue, and opportunity management practices for all scope under I&B IPT
      • Grow the team’s digital presence by aligning to the program’s Digital Transformation strategy through initiatives such as the adoption of the Atlassian tools.
      • Collaborate with all functional organizations to resolve engineering conflicts with a multiple disciplined engineering community

      The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience.
      • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical teams of 10 or more individuals
      • Demonstrated experience as Cost Account Manager (CAM) or Work Package Manager, with proven ability to manage technical projects within cost/schedule constraints
      • Experience working across multiple organizations and geographic locations to form teams, gain internal support, act with speed, and make tough decisions
      • Experience with and a comprehensive understanding of operations, sustainment, logistics, and life-cycle management requirements
      • Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
      • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. This SAP must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: Additional SAP clearance may be required once in role.)

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Current applicable SAP/SAR access
      • Experience with managing suppliers
      • Extensive experience with IFC Management and process
      • Extensive experience with Configuration Management, change management, and fielding/implementation of technical change
      • Knowledge of virtualization sustainment/maintenance

      Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
