Stryker is seeking to hire a Staff Engineer, R&D to support Stryker’s Neurovascular Division . This role is focused on new product development engineering. This is an onsite role at our Fremont, CA location.

• Technical expert: Sets technical direction and enables R&D team to achieve scalable, innovative engineering solutions
• Purposeful innovator: Partner closely with our physician customers to ensure our solutions meet their needs.
• Complex problem solver: Use advanced engineering expertise in conjunction with internal/external experts to proactively identify and tackle complex problems
• Influencer: Partner with multiple functions (Pre-Clinical, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, Regulatory) to drive product development that is laser-focused on our customer needs.
• Mentor: Train and/or provide work direction to technicians and entry-level engineers.
• End to end product development exposure: Drive programs through early stage needs finding, concept development, product development within design control, manufacturing transfer, commercial launch and clinical trial support

WHAT YOU NEED:

Required:

• B.S. degree in engineering or applicable technical field (mechanical, materials or biomedical preferred)
• 4+ years’ of work experience or a Master’s degree, with 2+ years of work experience is required

Preferred:

• M.S. in Engineering or related field preferred
• Medical device design and development experience
• Previous product or test fixture design experience along with working knowledge of CAD
• Proven track record of collaborating with others to develop best-in-class medical technologies

$ 111,200.00 - $ 182,100.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
