      Job Details

      Duties

      • Perform and manage geotechnical investigations - including field work, data collection, and analysis, analyze subsurface data, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers on projects, focusing on evaluating soil, rock, and groundwater conditions for various developments.
      • Manage geotechnical projects from the initial investigation phase through design and construction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

      Requirements

      • Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geological Sciences (with Geotechnical Engineering coursework is a plus).
      • Ability to write basic spreadsheet programs.
      • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills, with commitment to excellent client relations.
      • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously and in a team-based environment.
      • Attention to detail, efficient time management, collaborate and support other team members, including mentoring staff.
      • Vehicle to perform field work on geotechnical projects.

      Preferred Qualifications For More Experienced Candidates

      • Planning on becoming a Licensed Geologist in Training, then getting your Professional Geologist certification with plans to pursue CEG certification.
      • Experience as a geotechnical lab or field soils technician.
      • Understanding of Engineering Geology.
      • Project Management experience with service to public agencies and private clients.
      • Proficiency with various types of geotechnical engineering software.
