      Job summary

      As a band 5 staff Nurse within the Outpatients team you will work alongside a well established team of colleagues to facilitate the smooth running of clinics with in the appointed times.

      Treating patients according to their individual needs and prescription, acting as their advocate.

      The role will also require the supervision of the nursing team on a day to day basis, referring to the department manager when necessary and will require some time taking charge of the department in the absence of a senior member of staff.

      Main duties of the job

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to work as a Band 5 Staff Nurse within a well established General Outpatient Service based at the North of the Trust this will include UHND , CLS , SBH and SCH . The department provides medical and surgical specialist clinics. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work well as part of a team or independently where required. As the Registered Nurse on duty you will be expected to manage the day to day running of the department in the absence of the departmental sisters, and supervise junior staff and students when required. The role would suit a Registered Nurse with post-registration experience which can be utilised within the clinic setting.
