      Staff Nurse Surgical HDU | KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

      As a Critical Care Nurse at KIMS Hospital, youll work alongside our dedicated Ward Manager to provide exceptional care to surgical patients requiring Level 2 High Dependency Care, enhanced step-down care, and post-operative surgical care along elective pathways.

      Main duties of the job

      As a Surgical Critical Care Nurse, you will:

      • Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient needs in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary Team.
      • Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions.
      • Work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff as required.
      • Participate in the training and development of staff to care for levels2 patients in the High dependency beds in the ward.
      • Ensure that own professional development is maintained and enhanced by engaging in external support from the Kent Critical Care network and surrounding NHS Trust.
