- Lead development and design requirements for Logistics & Distribution Automation at our largest network distribution center in North America. Coordinate with vendors to evaluate viable automation solutions and determine which solutions should be presented to internal leadership for approval.
- Logistics functional partner in driving Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategies to make our warehouses capable of next-day order fulfillment to pick, pack and ship customer orders accurately, on-time and without damage. These strategies will lead to improved profitability and contribute to the overall financial health of the DTC business.
- Responsible for providing oversight and delivery of complex projects, enhancements, and system support. Assembles and leads project teams, identifies the appropriate resources needed for project execution, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects, while controlling project cost, quality, schedule, and scope.
- Champion of modern Distribution Automation practices by maintaining and seeking understanding of current and future technologies to steer Kohler toward a competitive advantage within its distribution network.
- Owns continuous improvement through systems initiatives which support KPl's in the areas of cost, quality, service, safety, and sustainability. This role will drive the execution of the identified configuration changes within the system to increase productivity on the warehouse floor and develop solutions to business challenges.
- Lead site audits to identify opportunities for improving productivity and efficiency within our existing automation systems, including identifying areas of improvement in hardware and software, and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Act as a change agent and assist operational teams with the transition from as-is / to-be processes and systems. Document new processes for warehouse functions aligned with Logistics Systems and understand change activities that contribute to risk mitigation.
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years professional experience is required, preferred experience in Automation design/implementation and/or warehouse operations.
- Experience with SAP ECC, WM or Tier 1 Warehouse Management such as BY JDA/Red Prairie, Manhattan, High Jump, SAP EWM preferred.
- Deep knowledge of warehouse automation technology, including experience working with suppliers.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Able to communicate effectively with associates at all levels within the organization and build credibility/rapport (oral, written, and visual).
- Self-motivated and self-directed ability to act in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a systematic approach to decision-making.
- Ability to understand both business processes and IT processes allowing the ability to effectively understand and communicate needs and issues to both groups.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and time management skills
- Team player, flexible, and adaptive.

This position will function as a Lead for Distribution Capability Enhancement across the Kitchen & Bath North Americas network. This position will focus efforts on driving warehouse solutions that enable successful operations, cost optimization and streamlined customer fulfillment. This individual will be responsible for defining, designing, improving, and selecting advanced automation processes within Kitchen & Bath Distribution Operations. They will recommend and implement the automation strategy and standardization to deliver cost effective systems to reduce labor costs, increase safety and drive consistency of delivery excellence.

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
