Job Description Summary:
This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Regional Flex Team nurses support multiple care sites throughout OhioHealth, including Grady, Mansfield, Marion and Shelby in inpatient settings Med/Surg, Intermediate or Critical Care. Each shift provides a different experience as the Flex associate potentially supports a different unit/care-site for each scheduled shift. Flex associates are assigned to a care site anywhere from two hours to weeks in advance. This position requires a strong clinical nurse who feels confident and comfortable in asking questions and seeking clarifications when necessary. Flex nurses must be independent but able to adapt to each unit’s specific needs. This position offers the unique opportunity to experience different units throughout OhioHealth with added benefits of float pay and mileage reimbursement.
