What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and develop the next generation of distributed data storage and processing systems
- Design and implement scalable and performant backend solutions for various data consumers
- Collaborate across disciplines to shape product strategy and execution
- Establish and maintain code architecture and uphold engineering process standards
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software, APIs, and processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation
- Demonstrated knowledge of building scalable and reliable backend systems
- Proficiency in CSS, HTML, JavaScript frameworks (i.e., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember), and AWS technologies
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization of data systems and infrastructure
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with server-side web technologies (i.e., Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go)
- Familiarity with database systems and techniques for scalability and high availability
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy end-to-end solutions
