      Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Clinical Superintendent to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital




      We are looking for a Clinical Superintendent in Medicine! The Clinical Superintendent in Medicine is a twelve-month appointment to a leadership role for a recently qualified physician with an interest in medical management and medical education. The Clinical Superintendent will work closely with the Director Medical Services and their team, the Director of Physician Training, senior medical staff, Doctors-in-Training and Hospital management, providing a key point of liaison for coordination and management of medical education, wellbeing, learning and day-to-day junior medical staff activities.

      The Clinical Superintendent in Medicine will also undertake clinical responsibilities (up to 0.5FTE) in a clinical discipline relevant to their qualifications (subject to approval by the SLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee), and will participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the respective speciality Department and Hospital as required.

      The Clinical Superintendent in Medicine will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment which supports education, wellbeing, research and professional development.

      The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
      Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award .
