      Responsibilities

      River Oaks Hospital, located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents and children. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks has provided quality treatment to service individuals suffering from mental illness, and/or addictive disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient).

      River Oaks Hospital is looking for a dynamic Staffing Coordinator full time! The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the scheduling needs of the Nursing Department (registered nurses and mental health technicians) in a behavioral health inpatient setting in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Nursing, House Supervisor, and Milieu Manager. Ensures staffing requirements are followed and coordinates the assignment of PRN staff to supplement hospital schedule vacancies and staffing needs. Performs direct care duties on an as-needed basis. Performs responsibilities in accordance with the facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

      Qualifications

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

      • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of staff scheduling experience in lieu of degree
      • 1-2 years staffing experience REQUIRED. Census-driven healthcare staff scheduling experience preferred. Experience with scheduling software a plus!
      • Ability to assist staff with scheduling requirements, enforce policies related to scheduling, time off, attendance and escalate concerns to nursing leadership timely.
      • Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English.
      • Ability to work with all staff, department heads and nursing leadership in a team environment.
