      The Staffing Coordinator collaboratively plans and implements nursing unit and therapy staffing for patient care units for Baptist Medical Center, Southwest Medical Center and Jim Thorpe Rehab Facility and utilizes supplemental staffing in a coordinated effort to provide staffing for individual units according to established staffing profiles INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

      Qualifications

      * Typing 40 wpm preferred * 1 year experience in a hospital clinical setting, clerical experience and data entry experience preferred * Must be able to communicate effectively in English INTEGRIS Mental Health: * This job prefers, if needed, the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

      Responsibilities

      The Staffing Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Collects census information from patient care areas and records on board sheets prior to the beginning of the oncoming shift * Communicates with nursing unit management, nursing staff, administrative supervisors, and /or staffing manager to evaluate staffing needs based on census and acuity * Continually assesses changes in patient care unit staffing needs and adjusts plan to provide distribution of nursing staff in areas of greatest need * Makes assignments for agency personnel to areas within designated clusters * Communicates oncoming staffing to patient care areas, including supplemental staff assignments and/or inability to fill vacancies * Collects and enters data daily for monthly Utilization Report and agency reports. * Provides information to physician offices, funeral services, etc., regarding patient deaths as recorded in Death Book Jim Thorpe Only: * Responds to request for staff coverage, assesses area needs, and coordinates appropriate distribution of staff * Develops monthly schedule and monitors the day-to-day fluctuation in staff/census and adjust staff distribution as appropriate. * Maintains employee departmental files in accordance with hospital standards, JCAHO, and other regulatory requirements. * Monitors staff competency compliance * Provides personnel support to the Therapy Resource Pool Manager BMC Only: Bed Assignment Duties as follows: * Manages multiple phone lines, obtains demographics for admissions from emergency department, other departments within the hospital, physician offices, and other facilities. * Enters patient information into bed tracking system and patient accounting system. * Coordinates with administrative supervisor critical care bed placement and other bed placements. * Maintains daily log of unscheduled admissions. * Creates scheduled admissions logs for applicable areas Reports to assigned Lead, Manager, or Director.
