      Job Summary:

      The Tax Experienced Paraprofessional is responsible for organizing, coordinating and preparing client tax data to ensure accurate and timely completion of business and individual tax returns. This position also performs administrative duties that support the tax department processes and procedures.


      Job Duties:

      • Plans and executes projects related to tax and consulting processes and procedures
      • Complies with all Firm policies, standards and the BDO Tax Quality Manual (TQM) and seeks advice regarding issues and problems related to tax compliance and consulting
      • Uses and inputs client information into the Contact Resource Management system
      • Researches public information
      • Performs billing and account management
      • Uses the Firm’s compliance software to maximize efficiency of tax returns, client billing and account management
      • Meets internal deadlines to match client expectations for timely delivery of service
      • Identifies missing tax return items to ensure that client data is collected in a timely manner and complies with filing requirements
      • Other duties as required

      Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      Education:

      • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

      Experience:

      • Three (3) or more years of industry related experience in a professional services firm required

      License/Certifications:

      • N/A

      Software:

      • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

      Language:

      • N/A

      • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with an attention to detail
      • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or in coordination with other professionals
      • Understands and maintains the confidentiality of all information
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse personalities in a tactful and mature manner
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to respond tactfully and professionally in high demand situations

      Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

      California Range: $23.00/hr - $42.00/hr
      Colorado Range: $26.00/hr - $31.00/hr
      Maryland Range: $28.00/hr - $36.00/hr
      NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $34.00/hr - $58.00/hr
      Washington Range: $23.00/hr - $42.00/hr
      Washington DC Range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
