- Provide commercial lines quantitative support of state filings activities for bureau and proprietary insurance products in all 50 states, including, but not limited to, workers comp, auto, crime, property, umbrella, general liability, business owners, and inland marine.
- Development of pricing data in support of profitability forecasts and ad hoc projects.
- Work closely with a cross functional team (product compliance, product development, actuarial and IT) to achieve filing submissions and approvals.
- Assist the Product Development staff with responding to state objections and criticisms related to proprietary rate/rule filings.
- Develop and maintain rating tools for products not supported by the automated policy writing system.
- Assist with translating rating tools into IT specifications for automation in the policy writing system.
- 3+ years in State Filings and/or Actuarial related pricing roles involving state filings preparation
- Advanced M.S. Excel and Word skills
- Programming knowledge (SAS, Access, VBA, SQL or others) is preferred.
- Strong familiarity with statutory annual statement pages used for completing state filing forms (i.e. IEE)
- High degree of professionalism

- Experience with P&C insurance is preferred

The State Filings and Pricing Support Specialist role at ProSight is a key position in the Actuarial Department responsible for the numerical side of preparing rate and product filings in 50 states for all P&C lines, developing pricing databases, as well as developing and maintaining rating tools in support of the business. The successful individual will quantify the impact of rating bureau changes and provide quantitative exhibit support to the State Filings department. They will also assist in the development of pricing data in support of profitability forecasts for the business. Strong collaboration skills are needed to achieve team results working with both internal and external partners. Excellent organization skills are required to maintain status and advancement of a large volume of filings, pricing databases, and rating tools.
