      About the Role

      An exciting opportunity currently exists for an energetic and experienced professional to join our Seafood Commercial team as State Seafood Manager for Victoria and Tasmania. Reporting into our National Account Manager, this role will be responsible for setting the state strategic business plan and achieving targeted sales and contribution margin through first class customer engagement in line with business expectations.

      This highly commercial and relationship rich role requires the successful incumbent to apply a combination of strategic and tactical nous in building strong mutually beneficial relationships with our diverse customer base that deliver a strong commercial outcome.

      What will you do

      • Accelerate strong delivery of State Sales Targets with Victoria and Tasmania distributors.
      • Promoting Simplot Seafood Trading & Value - Added Seafood directly to our distributor partners.
      • Training and upskilling relevant sales team to accelerate our business growth.
      • Develop and grow our field end user sales, working and partnering in conjunction with key distributors and their respective sales teams to facilitate the conversion to our Seafood range.
      • Liaise and partner with Victoria/Tasmania Seafood Trading National Account Manager to ensure accurate stock requirements are met to service the market and stay within state inventory levels.
      • Participate in forecast meetings and actioning issues identified to ensure minimal financial exposure.

      About you

      To be successful in this role, you will be a strong negotiator with demonstrated account management experience ideally in the Foodservice or FMCG industry. You will be highly skilled in communicating across all levels of business and have a proven track record in driving and achieving successful sales results. You will enjoy being part of a vibrant team where you are encouraged to 'have a voice' by positively contributing to the team agenda. Whilst not mandatory, seafood knowledge will provide you with an advantage.

      • You will have demonstrated experience in a similar senior role within FMCG sales or category related positions within a large FMCG environment. Broad seafood knowledge is preferred.
      • Previous sales experience selling seafood into foodservice distributors and/or end users preferred.
      • Computer literate in basic functions to complete reporting and some financial modelling.
      • Experience in working autonomously to develop & follow quarterly call cycle plan.
      • Experience in a sales environment achieving sales budgets.
      • Sound understanding of trade marketing, promotional programs, demand forecasting and be comfortable with retailer customer engagement.
      • A strong ability to lead business initiatives with others across both the demand and supply streams to strive for and achieve successful outcomes.
      • Your ability to work in cross-functional teams and support others is crucial in this role, as is the ability to deal with senior management.
      • Strong commercial acumen, reporting and presentation.
      • Ability to travel frequently.
