      About the opportunity


      NSW Health Pathology are currently seeking a Statewide Billing System Administrator to join the team in a full time capacity.

      The location of this role is negotiable between Newcastle, Westmead and St Leonards.

      This role will see you working in a small team to support the day-to-day operations of the Statewide Pathology Billing System. There is a strong focus on a can-do attitude to work with stakeholders to problem solve components of the end to end billing process.

      What you'll be doing

      The Statewide Billing Solution Administrator provides system administration and support for the day-to-day operations of the Statewide Pathology Billing Solution (SPBS).


      The position is responsible for billing systems administration, billing support, problem solving, responding to requests, testing, NSW Health Pathology billing projects and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The SPBS Administrator ensures compliance with a strong focus on customer service in accordance with service level agreements for NSW Health Pathology, eHealth and Health Agency customers.

      2. Proven good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including a patient, courteous and professional manner when assisting users in a service desk capacity
      3. Demonstrated sound problem-solving skills and forward thinking approach including the ability to analyse and interpret information, use strong written communication to prepare correspondence/reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions
      4. Demonstrated experience in developing and documenting professional operational procedures and eLearning documentation
      5. Excellent organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach
      6. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
      7. Significant experience with spread sheet, database and word processing applications with qualifications in Finance or Business and/or equivalent experience.
      8. Expert knowledge and proven expertise in the administration of a large and complex Financial Management Information System or Enterprise Billing System such as Oracle R12 eBusiness suite.

      Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

      All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.


      Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

      This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency. Please note: A person who is not an Australian citizen or a permanent resident is only eligible for temporary employment for a period not longer than the duration of their current visa.
