  • Job Description

      Req#: 284989

Can you see yourself as part of a small, entrepreneurial team, working to apply statistical and data science expertise to ensure access to innovative treatments to patients across the world? Are you enthusiastic about the opportunity to perform integrated statistical analyses of vast amounts of clinical trial data, real-world data, and scientific literature to answer challenging questions about our treatments?

Then you may be our new statistician for Health Technology Assessment (HTA). Play a critical role in shaping our capabilities for the future. Apply now!

      The position
You will join Biostatistics HTA within the global Biostatistics organization. We are a small and dynamic department, focused on tackling the increasing evidence requirements for patient access to our treatments. We do this by leveraging diverse sources of evidence to produce answers to the challenging questions that local health authorities and payers ask. Your key responsibility will be to drive the scoping and implementation of advanced statistical and computational methods to enable these efforts, in close collaboration with HTA statistical leads within each therapy area.

In your daily work, you will

      • Drive advanced statistical and computational methods for HTA, including indirect treatment comparison analyses, that integrate clinical trial data, scientific literature, and real-world data

      • Collaborate with market access specialists and external vendors on the handling of network meta analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses.

      • Lead development of R packages and R-Shiny dashboards to support HTA statistics

      • Invest on your long-term career, by taking advantage of our excellent development opportunities

Biostatistics HTA operates across the full Novo Nordisk portfolio and interfaces with many different parts of the organization, including affiliates and external collaborators. This means that your ability to build successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders will be key in this position.

      Qualifications
As a minimum, you meet the following requirements:

      • MSc in statistics (or similar quantitative background)

      • At least 3 years of experience within clinical or biostatistical research

      • Experience with the R programming language and R-Shiny

      • Fluent in written and spoken English.

It will be a strong advantage if you have:

      • Experience from a pharmaceutical company or other global organisation

      • Experience with Bayesian statistical methods and software (e.g. OpenBUGS/STAN)

As a person, you thrive in a fast-changing environment where there may be few best practices to fall back on, and where experimentation and breaking new land will be a key part of your daily work. You are able to combine your quality mindset and statistical expertise with pragmatism and a business value mindset. Additionally, you have excellent planning and coordination skills, and you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
