      Summary

      Responsible for the management and daily operations of the technical staff responsible for devising logical, automated statistical analysis programs and procedures.

      Location: This role is onsite at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.


      Description

      What You'll Do:

      • Manage the activities of research and analysis staff responsible for complex statistical analysis programming and sophisticated data interpretation to support customer requirements.

      • Maintain effective communication necessary to provide customers with statistical programming and research and analysis support.

      • Develop and maintain management controls to meet internal/external requirements.

      • Review and approve simple and complex statistical analysis, including standard reporting, AD HOC reporting, and data mining.

      • Manage staff responsible for performing quality checks on new and existing database tables. Oversees and approves changes to database tables, including developing new data analysis tools, project planning, and system lifecycle maintenance.

      • Review monthly budget report(s). Reviews all budget requests before director approval. Provide justification for budget variances.

      • Recruit staff, administer salary and personnel policies, complete performance reviews, and meet staff training needs.

      To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

      Required Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics or another job-related field plus nine (9) semester hours of statistics.

      Required Work Experience: Required Work Experience: 5 Years of Statistical programming. 5 Years of statistical interpretation. 1 Year Statistical research design. 1 Year Supervisory experience OR equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above. (all may be concurrent.)

      Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic, Tableau, and SQL. Statistical programming tools such as R, Python, SAS Macros, or SAS STAT

      Required Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of statistical concepts. Strong knowledge of multiple platform capabilities and relational database concepts. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience with technical writing, system testing, and creating system logic.

      We Prefer That You Have The Following:

      • 8 Years-Financial analysis or budget management and/or healthcare program management.

      • Experience with data management in relational data sources

      • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations

      • Experience working with healthcare data

      • Experience with OMOP CDM

      • Knowledge of ICD 10 coding.

      • Health Level 7 (HL7)

      • Strong written, verbal, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
