Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Dallas, TX 75390
Type: 3+ Months Contract
SUMMARY SCOPE:
Impacts the efficient sterilization of instruments utilized in patient care.
SUMMARY FUNCTION:
Provides all tasks associated with sterile processing within the surgical, hospital and clinic settings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Inspects instrumentation for signs of wear and tear.
- Identifies and forwards items in need of repair to Sterile Processing Coordinator.
- Coordinates with nurse manager concerning special daily instrumentation/tray needs.
- Identifies, reports and resolves shared resource conflicts.
- Collaborates with Sterile Processing Coordinator for adequate daily supply needs.
- Maintains minimal PAR levels and notifies coordinator for order needs.
- Assists with resolution of instrumentation/equipment problems in the operation room.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year hospital-based sterile processing experience. No experience with preferred education.
LICENSURE REQUIRED:
Must be a certified Sterile Processing Technician
Must Have Medical & Clinical Certifications BLS CPR Certification BLS CPR
