SUMMARY: The Steward/Receiver assists in keeping the Maverick hotel, restaurant, kitchen, bar, and/or lounge clean and sanitary. Assists in cleaning and attends to customer needs. This associate may also perform basic administrative tasks, such as working with vendors, delivery drivers, answering phone calls, and giving out basic information. This associate will stock all areas of the kitchen and storerooms with all supplies and designated items. This associate will assist to maintain the Maverick Hotels and Restaurants organizational standards and operating procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned,
· Ensures kitchen items are sanitized and available in professional working order as needed
· Organizes restaurant, bar, banquet, and lounge plateware, glassware, flatware, and all inventoried product in designated storage areas properly
· Polishes silverware and copperware and stainless steel pieces as needed
· Assists Maverick management with inventory counting and organizations of flatware, glassware, plateware, and all other inventoried product
· Maintains proper placement and organization of pots, pans and utensils in storage
· Maintains proper storage of all dollies, glass racks, racks, cabinets, carts, and other mobile units in kitchen and storeroom areas
· Maintains kitchen work area organization and reports back to Maverick MOD regarding equipment issues
· Stocks supplies such as food, beverage, utensils, chemicals, and paper items in designated areas as assigned by Maverick MOD
· Sorts and removes trash, garbage and recycling by placing it in designated pickup areas
· Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
· Ensures that all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and stored
· Provides general onsite information about their Maverick Hotels and Restaurants space to guests and general transient traffic when necessary
· Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all location amenities as well as any special events
· Interacts with location staff, Maverick management, colleagues and teammates in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary
· Attends mandatory monthly department meetings and understands inventory and receiving process and systems
· Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to Maverick MOD and/or location security personnel
· Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
· Reports to work on time as designated by posted schedule
· Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Maverick Hotels and Restaurants dress code standards and guidelines
· Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
· High school or equivalent education required
· Prior stewarding experience preferred
· Prior food and beverage experience preferred
JOB REQUIRMENTS:
· Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
· Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
· Must possesses excellent communication skills
· Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
· Must be able to work under pressure
· Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

· Must always ensure a teamwork environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of does that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While primarily and indoor job, employee must be able to work at outdoor locations on occasion, walking on uneven surfaces. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, sun, heat). The employee is frequently required to stand (a minimum of 8 hours); walk; handle, feel, grasp, and hold objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch; bend; talk; hear; taste; and smell. The employee may be required to frequently climb (stairs). The employee may be required to kneel. The employee must frequently, carry pull and/or move up to 50+ lbs. & occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
