Job Title: Install Technician

Job Description

Candidates will be working for one of the fastest growing stone countertop installation companies in the Red River Valley! Basic duties assigned to install techs are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of stone countertops by carrying them into place, accurately positioning them, and securing them to cabinets or supports.
• Learn and apply proper techniques for handling and maneuvering stone slabs to ensure safe and efficient installation.
• Prepare job sites by ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and equipment are readily available.
• Assist in measuring and confirming dimensions to ensure countertops fit properly in their designated spaces.
• Inspect countertops during installation to verify they meet quality standards and match customer specifications.
• Help make adjustments or corrections as directed by lead installers.
• Communicate professionally with customers during installations, providing assistance and answering basic questions about the installation process.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to installation practices and customer interactions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in installation, construction, assembly, carpentry, and blueprint reading.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fabricate as needed.
• General labor experience with a focus on finishing work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from senior installers.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the field of stone countertop installation.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, and carrying heavy material.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and occasionally over 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work will be around the Fargo Moorhead Area. May be subjected to dust particles and must be able to wear a respirator or facemask. Will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. Noise level may be high when working with install tools. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm. Depending on install location, overtime outside of regular hours is required. Overnight travel happens on occasion but will be given a heads up.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
