      As the Stores Coordinator reporting to our Engineering Manager at for our packaging site, within our Engineering team, you will be responsible for the management, layout and control of the Engineering stores on site, covering all aspects of electrical and mechanical spare parts, equipment and consumable’s.

      On a day to day basis you will be responsible for the coordination of quotes, processing or orders, receiving of goods into stock, and the issue of stock parts and equipment to the Engineering Teams whilst maintaining budget controls.
      The Stores Coordinator is a key role in the Engineering Team contributing to the management and development of our asset care programme working closely with our Engineering Planner / Scheduler and the shift Engineering team to ensure the continued improvement and efficiency of our production machinery.
      Job Description

      Your main duties will include:

      • Requesting, documenting and processing quotations for incoming parts and equipment from external suppliers
      • Processing orders requests for spare parts and equipment
      • Receiving goods and materials into stock whilst ensuring quality of all items
      • Manage and control all Engineering stock, whilst allocating and tracking associated costs
      • Issue spare parts and equipment to planned Engineering works
      • Stock checking, management and recording, maintaining minimum and maximum levels amongst critical spare items whilst developing and maintaining stock control schedules

      About you:

      Essential

      • Good organisation, analytical, communication, time management and process improvement skills
      • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external service partners and suppliers
      • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical spare parts and consumable’s
      • Ability to negotiate to ensure the best supply and pricing
      • Ability to make informed decisions in a time pressured, and fast paced environment
      • Understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
      • Have a Can-Do attitude with a proactive approach to change management

      Desirable

      • An engineering qualification / experience
      • Administrative experience
      • Experience in a stores / spare parts / engineering environment
      • SAP CMMS knowledge (or equivalent computer management system)
      • Understanding of a manufacturing environment
      • Understanding of costs in relation to budget
