- Lead the development and operationalization of business-ready semantic models and datasets focused on strategic analysis and executive reporting.
- Collaborate with FP&A and business stakeholders to design and maintain a robust forecasting consolidation process within Power BI, including the implementation of write-back capabilities and model logic to support scalable, accurate planning workflows.
- Support the modernization of the data platform by leading efforts to transition from legacy systems to Microsoft Fabric and OneLake environments.
- Build and maintain Power BI datasets and semantic models with a focus on reliability, refresh efficiency, and business usability.
- Ensure data quality, governance standards, and operational excellence across all deliverables, emphasizing the creation of trusted, dependable data assets.
- Partner with peers leading ingestion and transformation layers to create a seamless, scalable Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Work in close partnership with the Analytics Platform team to align foundational data layers with strategic reporting and forecasting use cases.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize self-service analytics capabilities, empowering users to explore data while maintaining governance.
- Design and deliver data models that serve as the foundation for future AI-powered analysis and insights, including use cases such as predictive forecasting, operational anomaly detection, and AI-driven decision support tools.
- Lead advanced analytical investigations into forecasting variances, cost drivers, and revenue opportunities using statistical techniques and complex modeling, ensuring insights are tied to P&L or CapEx outcomes and are integrated into the broader Fabric ecosystem for repeatability.
- Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with FP&A, business operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Mentor and guide a team member while remaining highly hands-on in building solutions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data operations, or analytics roles, including hands-on development of semantic models and strategic analytics solutions in Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to perform deep-dive statistical analysis and advanced modeling techniques to uncover business insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Delta Lake, and related cloud technologies.
- Experience working with or designing solutions for financial forecasting, planning processes, or business performance analytics.
- Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers), modern data modeling techniques, and strong understanding of data governance, semantic layer development, and enterprise analytics best practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and energized by opportunities to innovate and build foundational data capabilities.
- Interest in the evolving intersection of data, AI, and advanced analytics, with a passion for building platforms that enable AI-powered insights.
- This is a Hybrid position based in Overland Park, KS with in-office presence expected 2-3 times per week
- Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and pivoting quickly as priorities evolve
