      Job Description


      We are seeking a Strategic Learning & Training Specialist to join the Govini Strategic Learning & Development team. In this capacity, you will report to the Vice President of Strategic Learning & Development. This role will support the development, implementation, and day-to-day execution of both strategic and tactical training series that support the needs of internal and external stakeholders.


      In order to do this job well, you must understand human-centric adult learning principles, care about national security, and have strong business acumen. You like people and are eager to find ways to help them succeed through immersive and engaging training that encompasses national security topics and the use of data and technology to advance their learning. You are comfortable in large, classroom-style settings as well as engaging one-on-one with stakeholders. Regardless of the setting, you bring the conversation back to what matters for the stakeholders and prioritize resources to ensure goals and needs are met.


      This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.

      This role may require up to 50% travel

      Scope of Responsibilities
      • Run the execution and logistics of internal and external multi-day trainings
      • Effectively and professionally communicate with trainees, speakers, and other key stakeholders leading up to and on the day of training programs
      • Facilitate workshops, discussions, and group activities
      • Develop a deep familiarity with Govini offerings and how they can be used to solve a wide range of meaningful national security challenges
      • Design processes, playbooks, and policies to standardize and scale Govini training programs
      • Revise and maintain flexible curricula that align with best practices and proven training methodologies
      • Develop new course modules, learning strategies, and course exercises for internal staff and government customers
      • Use technical skills and creativity to develop and iterate on engaging, interactive asynchronous, and in-person learning experiences
      • Research relevant subject matter areas and work across teams to interview experts to create learning material
      • Lead the design and administration of surveys and other assessment tools to capture and analyze data for program planning, decision-making, and reporting
      • Evaluate training to align with business outcomes
      • Develop, track, and maintain program schedules


      Qualifications
      • U.S. Citizenship is required

      Required Skills:
      • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of training and/or training design experience, preferably in the public sector space
      • Goal-oriented self-starter able to flex to changing business needs and priorities
      • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for working with adult learners, including the ability to identify and apply assessment techniques to ensure learning outcomes
      • Ability to design engaging training materials and collateral
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • A passion for attention to detail
      • Flexible, fast-paced learner

      Desired Skills:
      • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance at the Top Secret level, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship
      • Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
      • Previous experience working with Google Suites preferred
