Project Manager (Strategic Partnerships)

The Opportunity…
The Strategic Partnerships team sits within Sales in Zero Carbon Heat. Working across the wider group, The Strategic Partnerships Team has overall responsibility for all B2B relationships within Zero Carbon Heat and owns both the relationship strategy and the end to end delivery of schemes and projects that feed directly into the Sales target. The Strategic Partnerships Project Manager role is varied and fast moving which will require management of the Executives as the channel develops.

What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of end to end B2B projects. External stakeholders will include but not be limited to Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Government, Developers.
You will also seek out, contract with and relationship manage new partners with varying contract models to ensure we increase sales exponentially over the next 5 years. You will be expected to engage with senior stakeholders, internally and externally, presenting clear and concise information, you will need to work with other teams within the wider Zero Carbon Heat team and Customers business, including Partnerships, Supply Chain and Legal. This will be a fast paced, changing market and you will need to be flexible, and at your happiest throwing yourself into any challenge.
Critical to the team’s success is your feedback about how the end to end project and customer journey is progressing, so you will have responsibility for helping adapt processes, and advise on pipeline activities to meet the partner’s needs and make us their No. 1 choice.
You will have responsibility for the relationship management of each project, therefore excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to adapt the level of detail according to the audience.
You will work closely with on Site Project Managers with responsibility for health and safety and so an awareness of CDM regulatory requirements and / or a willingness to learn would be beneficial.Who you are
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the energy efficiency industry and experience of working in similar areas. They will have solid project management skills, be a confident relationship manager, and have experience of commercial negotiation.
You need to be a highly motivated person with exceptional communication and people skills. You will be performance and value focused, while being adaptable but most of all driven to succeed and not afraid to fail, learn and adapt along the way.
You must be a highly organised, and proficient project manager.
You need to be comfortable leading negotiations for contracts significant to EDF and able to balance relationship management and commercial delivery in these.
You need to be great with people and have strong interpersonal leadership skills in this role. You must have a very high level of resilience and a laser focus on end goals, able to deal with setbacks, learn, adapt and push forward to meet our goals. You may have responsibility of managing a team and therefore ability to motivate and create a positive team ethos is required.
The nature of the role will require travel to various locations throughout the UK, therefore a degree of flexibility is required.If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
