      Overview

      This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, which leads the Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. The Office leads US oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm’s capabilities across multiple lines of defense working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Audit. The team ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and are successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes. For this role, the Independent Review and Challenge (IRC) team is looking for experienced professionals with expertise in supervision and regulation as well as risk and controls to join our high impact and growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the Bank’s Transformation and remediation efforts, with exposure to senior management.

      What You’ll Do

      • Provide effective review and challenge for critical regulatory remediation deliverables across the Bank including regulatory responses, remediation plans and outcomes, regulatory remediation program, and regional and global key deliverables

      • Identify critical gaps in bank’s regulatory responses and remediation initiatives in order to provide independent review and challenge in management forums in advance of formal submission to regulators

      • Act as an advisor and provide guidance to business and infrastructure functions relating to regulatory responses, remediation plans, and implementation of regulatory remediation programs

      • Ensure that regulatory remediation programs clearly articulate risk reduction and demonstrate enhanced control environment with evidence of design and operational effectiveness

      • Responsible for active stakeholder engagement by ensuring close collaboration with key stakeholders across the Bank

      How You’ll Lead

      • Improve comprehensiveness and completeness of the Bank’s regulatory responses, remediation programs, and global key deliverables by providing constructive and holistic feedback, identifying weaknesses and limitations, and escalating critical issues where necessary

      Skills You’ll Need

      • Extensive experience in financial services industry or consulting firm (e.g., risk and controls, audit, regulatory remediation/quality assurance, etc.) or regulatory agencies as a bank examiner (e.g., FRB, OCC, FDIC)

      • Significant Experience in reviewing and challenging regulatory responses, remediation action plans, and closure documentation

      • Significant experience in interpreting regulatory rules and regulations (e.g., SR letters, FFIEC, etc.)

      • Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate timely and effectively

      Skills That Will Help You Excel

      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to present and effectively articulate your view to senior management

      Expectations

      It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

      The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $183,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
