      Supply Chain Manager

Our work depends on a Supply Chain Manager joining our team to manage the workload and performance of a team of procurement analysts that are responsible for supporting both Indirect (internal to GDIT) and Direct (in support of a government contract) purchases related to the Cloud/SaaS commodity. These commodity purchases include cloud computing, subscriptions, and software-as-a-service. The manager will also be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, improving internal processes, and reporting the results to the GDIT Supply Chain leadership team.

      HOW A SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

      • Ensure all sourcing execution adheres to GDIT’s internal compliance standards and all government contracting regulatory requirements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
      • Drive results from our procurement associates, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that GDIT continues to achieve cost savings goals, create process efficiencies, and continue to enhance our cradle to grave procurement approach.
      • Develop strategic sourcing approaches, to include establishing master software agreements, volume purchase agreements, and other procurement initiatives.
      • Partner with our Category Management and Supply Chain operations team to manage the execution of strategic sourcing events and process improvement initiatives. Manager should be comfortable briefing senior leadership with a focus on total cost ownership analysis.
      • Responsible for all aspects of staffing and personnel management; including coaching, mentoring, training, professional development, and compliance with policy, process, and procedures. Manager shall partner with senior leadership to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
      • Act as escalation point for negotiations or issue resolution related to team’s purchase orders and agreements.
      • Monitor and track team’s compliance reporting to resolve outstanding issues.
      • Establish and maintain strategic and mission-critical supplier relationships, with partnership from Alliances and Growth organizations.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

      • Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of Corporate Commercial and/or FAR Regulated Supply Chain experience required.
      • Experience: 5+ years of Corporate Commercial and/or FAR Regulated Supply Chain Experience. 3 years experience in government contracting.
      • Required Skills and Abilities: Experience in conducting complex agreement negotiations with supplier executives, managing complex RFPs, developing strategic sourcing approaches, conducting total cost of ownership analyses, designing cost containment strategies, conducting market research, and performing process improvement within corporate Supply Chain Management organizations. Contractual experience, including pricing, risk mitigation, and key terms and conditions negotiations. Experience in process analysis, applying best procurement process practices, and continuous process improvement. Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company. Experience managing a project, including effective prioritizing, problem solving, and execution.
      • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Experience with reviewing data and identifying areas of improvement or strategic opportunity. Experience purchasing software, cloud/SaaS products. Background/experience in software agreements and understanding of mitigating supply chain risk.

      The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
