      Position Summary

      You’ll be at the center of it all — and not just because our team sits in the bustling area on Nestlé Purina’s HQ campus in St. Louis. This is where you’ll feel the energy of what we do every day.

      As the Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you’ll act as the sole, local point of contact in all matters related to procurement for your designated categories. We’ll count on you to influence and implement sourcing strategies on a local level including new or changing items, P2P (Procure to Pay) channel management, and new suppliers. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring supply strategies for your categories, gathering data, and conveying local requirements to Business Partners, Sourcing teams and Above Market Category teams.

      • Communicate information and project requirements to the Above Market Category team as it is gathered through the daily business.
      • Perform any data retrieval, analysis, and representation required while mapping the flow of ordering and channels within the locations serviced to identify improvements to be targeted.
      • Work with local suppliers to assist with supplier development, supplier relation management, or supplier switch out activities to support the sourcing strategy.
      • Ensure localized requirements are communicated to supply base.
      • Integrate innovation, renovation, and post award cost improvement elements from suppliers and the local business into all scope, functional, or site/production processes.
      • Lead the development and execution of local material risk mitigation plan.


      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
      • 1+ years’ purchasing, strategic sourcing, procurement, packaging, logistics or related experience
