      ROLE SUMMARY

      We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategy & Insights Director to join our Consumer Innovation Team within the Chief Marketing Office. The CMO Commercial innovation team serves 2 main end-user groups – patients and healthcare practitioners (HCPs). We strive to develop frictionless patient experiences that meet patients where they are to build trust, gain new customers and serve existing customers better. On the HCP side, we aim to develop next gen solutions that reduce the cognitive load for HCPs allowing them to access the latest info relevant to their practices and operate at the top of their licenses so that they can focus on delivering best in class care to their patients.

      As a Strategy & Insights Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the innovative products and offerings that we bring to market are anchored in insights and truly meet the needs of the end user.

      You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and customer pain points, developing solutions that meet the needs of both. You will use data and insights to help inform the product build and roadmap. The ideal candidate is consumer-centric, data-driven, and has a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

      ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Set innovation product strategy by identifying the customer, colleague, and business pain points that will drive the most impactful innovations.
      • Partner closely with brands to identify and understand pain points to influence the innovation agenda and strategy.
      • Stay closely linked to the Global Marketing Excellence team
      • Be a champion for different ways of working and create an environment that fosters creativity.
      • Identify appropriate customer groups to test specific ideas and apply disruptive innovation theory, where appropriate, to inform DVF (desirability, viability and feasibility) analysis of innovative concepts and prioritize ideas that move into design
      • Prepare innovation experimentation plans to inform stage-gate process to validate product with consumers at key design points and ensure insights inform the path forward.
      • Lead efforts to define product roadmaps – anchor on consumer insights and proactively identify opportunities for scalability.
      • Act as a key enabler in building a strong culture and driving the CMOs disruptive innovation agenda.
      • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

      BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

      • Experience (10+ years) in strategy, innovation, and/or customer experience positions with proven track record
      • Obsessed with identifying and solving for customer pain points
      • Strong analytical prowess to conduct root cause analyses to solve the right problem (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization, gaining buy-in and funding for disruptive innovations
      • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies to source innovation
      • Demonstrates a learner (also called growth) mindset to constantly incorporate different perspectives and angles to identify opportunities
      • Have courage to provide objective opinions, especially when evaluating go/no-go innovation decisions
      • Role model for the PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy)
      • Strong writing, presenting, and influencing skills
      • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information
      • Ability to coach agile teams

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and experience launching products with external partners.
      • Experience launching and landing disruptive innovation in a customer-centric industry.
      • Role will involve multiple geographies, but requires flexibility to work with US time-zone on regular basis
      • Proficiency in Challenge Mapping (Root Cause Analysis and/or Five Why tool) desired
      • Ability to navigate and influence matrixed teams

      The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.       * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $145,400.00 to $242,400.00.
