- Product strategy: Leverage competitive and user insights to help define and prioritize the product roadmap for the Payments business, working closely with our Payments Business Lead, as well as Product and Engineering leaders.
- Quarter back high stakes engagements with our largest customers and partners.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and lead forums and processes that empower the team to operate with clarity and efficiency.
- A strategic operator with 10+ years of proven excellence and experience in high-growth technology companies.
- Proficiency in adding structure to ambiguous challenges, fostering clarity in decision-making processes.
- Comfort working directly with Stripe executives.
- A genuine passion for solving user problems, with an ability to transform insights and feedback into actionable solutions.
- A knack for digesting complex products and articulating their value to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, “can do” attitude, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working within the fintech sector and familiarity with the payments ecosystem.
- Knowledge of SQL and a data-driven approach to identifying trends, generating insights, and cultivating solutions.
- Background in product management or product operations roles.

About the team
The Payments Team is at the heart of Stripe's digital and in-person payments business, which encompasses card transactions, local payment methods, as well as industry leading payments intelligence products, such as Radar. We are also responsible for delivering seamless buyer experiences through our Optimized Checkout Suite.
As the S&O member aligned to the Payments Team, you will play a critical role in identifying and executing strategies that drive revenue and margin growth for Stripe’s Payments business. You will partner closely with our Payments Business Lead to set the strategic plan for the business, and ensure the organization is set up to succeed against its ambitious plans. As part of this remit, you will also define and iterate on the operational cadences required for Payments to succeed, as we rapidly scale.
What you’ll do
We are looking for an independent, strategic operator who is comfortable working directly with Stripe’s leaders, seamlessly balancing defining a visionary roadmap with hands-on execution. Your contributions will have a direct impact on how we bring innovative products to market.
