      UM's department of Strategy and Transformation is providing a flexible 3–4-month, paid internship - Part Time for undergraduate students who are looking to gain experience supporting the University of Miami's missions of Teaching, Research, and Patient Care. This opportunity will provide exposure to various workstreams including Strategic Planning and Insights, Business Development, Community Benefit, Executive project support and more.

      The Casual Worker supplies services on an irregular or flexible basis to meet the University’s fluctuating demand for work. Additionally, the Casual Worker assists the assigned department(s) in meeting strict deadlines in furtherance of the institution’s related goals and objectives.

      • Performs assigned tasks and projects.

      • Provides clerical, research, professional or technical support to assigned division.

      • Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Meets or exceeds applicable goals and deadlines.

      • Develops relationships with department staff and other parties to carry out job functions.

      • Keeps supervising staff members informed of work progress and any issues encountered.

      • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

      CORE QUALIFICATIONS

      Education: High School diploma or equivalent

      Certification and Licensing: Not Applicable

      Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

      Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: •Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University’s core values. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office). •Ability to operate a motor vehicle Valid State of Florida driver’s license
