Job Description
- Req#: 1803
- Conduct research tasks to support key projects including league strategy work, new business development, market evaluations and benchmarking, and other CFG growth initiatives
- Conduct analysis to generate insights that can be shared with stakeholders across CFG’s portfolio of 13 clubs (including Manchester City) and other football-related businesses
- Create concise and well-formatted PowerPoint slides and simple Excel models, based on line manager guidance and training
- Contribute to wider team discussions and culture by proactively seeking and sharing insights on industry trends and potential opportunities for CFG
- Collaborate and support team members across S&V (Executives; Managers and upwards), to prepare materials for distribution or presentation to the wider business, including senior stakeholders
- Actively contribute to internal Strategy Team projects and activities initiatives to improve ways of working and knowledge retention
- Proactive and able to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Can structure problems and present findings clearly and concisely
- Numerically proficient
- Flexibility to move quickly across projects that range in stakeholder / content / deliverables
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Focused on self-development and uses feedback to improve performance
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively whether alone or as part of a team
- Good attention to detail – able to produce documents that do not require multiple manager revisions
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Experience in a professional services firm (management/strategy consulting, finance, banking) or a company’s strategy / corporate finance unit
- Foreign language proficiency, with particular emphasis on CFG club portfolio country languages
- Understanding of key business and strategy concepts and financial statements, and how these apply to football clubs

The successful candidate will provide internal support to the wider Strategy & Ventures team in the development and delivery of strategic projects or investment related activities across City Football Group
