Partner on providing support analysis in key strategic topics (examples of work: customer and internal interviews, market scoping, data analysis, third party research)
Contribute to strategic and operational initiatives in our various strategy groups, such as Commercial, Pricing, and Business Transformation
Support our work of identifying, sizing and putting together plans for revenue growth initiatives
Attend training and networking events to learn fundamental presentation and analysis skills, in addition to meeting professionals with varied backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, and education
Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Quantitative mindset, with ability to produce clear reports and presentations.
Experience with SQL and/or databases a plus but not required
Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative majors are preferred, but not required
This role will be hybrid based out of our Boston office with the option to work remotely most days.

What you'll do here:
We're seeking a co-op to join the Strategy and Business Operations (S&BO) team. The (S&BO) team supports and executes on the vision and direction of Cengage’s largest business unit. As a co-op, you will gain exposure to all aspects of strategy work in Cengage’s Higher Ed & K-12 business, including functional strategies in our product, marketing, finance, and sales functions. Through mentorship from senior members of the leadership team, you will help conduct analysis for the business unit’s key strategic initiatives. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to network with and learn from leaders across the Cengage strategy community. This co-op would suit candidates with an interest in business unit strategy and seeking to build skills like problem solving, structured analyses, managing trade-offs, and articulating complex ideas.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
