      We’re actively seeking a talented Project, Program and Portfolio Management Consultant to join our Strategy Realization Office.

      • This role is 100% remote. You’ll stay connected to Pacific Life from your home office.

      Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our Strategy Realization Office (SRO) as a part-time exempt senior level consultant. This role will report directly to the AVP Technology Strategy and Planning and will play a critical role in revamping our Project and Program Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project, program, and portfolio management, with a strong background in technology project management.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Partner with the Strategy and Planning Director and PMO Directors across the enterprise to leverage existing PMO standards/processes and modify/create new standards/processes to improve PMO performance.
      • Provide expert guidance and support in project, program, and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
      • Act as an advisor and collaborator, offering tangible lift and expertise to the Strategy and Planning department to build and connect the ‘Front Door’ with the PMO, including intake and demand management, capacity planning, estimation, prioritization, and various planning and execution stage gates.
      • Provide thought leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle including project planning, initiation, resourcing, execution, monitoring, completion, and value realization/benefits tracking.
      • Drive the execution of prioritized PMO transformation-oriented projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
      • Facilitate the Project Review meetings to ensure that project management best practices are being followed; assess project health and risks and help resolve roadblocks.
      • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project and program management.
      • Provide expert consultation and analysis on distressed projects, offering strategic recommendations to realign and ensure successful project completion (Project Rescue)

      Qualifications:

      • Over 15 years of experience in project, program, and portfolio management, with a focus on technology project management.
      • Proven track record of shaping and driving world-class PMOs.
      • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to bring people along and drive things forward.
      • Ability to roll up sleeves and get things done, while also standing firm on opinions and providing expert guidance.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

      Base Pay Range:

      The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

      $163,620.00 - $199,980.00
