- Provide structural biology support for variant assessment by analyzing and interpreting structure-function relationships
- Expand our current in-house structural databases
- Develop new methods and protocols for structural modeling and dynamics
- Work with statisticians and machine learning specialists to apply new methods and algorithms to structural biology projects
- Implement tools/features to assist clinical and genetic analysis
- Other duties as assigned
- PhD degree in computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, bioinformatics or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of research and development experience in related fields (such as computational structural biology, computational biology, computational molecular biology)
- Familiar with molecular biology, biological pathways, and genomics
- Strong knowledge of current theories and principals of computational structural biology
- Proficiency in the use of bioinformatics and structural biology software, packages, and databases
- Proficiency in utilizing and developing biomolecular modeling and dynamics tools
- Familiarity with a programming or scripting language (such as Python, R, Bash)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and as an independent contributor.
Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.
Structural Biologist I- Remote, USA
The main responsibility of this role is to support the variant assessment process at Ambry Genetics by collaborating with biologists, bioinformaticians, software engineers, and clinicians to analyze the impact of genetic variation on protein structure and to design methodologies and tools that leverage the vast amount of biomolecular structural information available to guide clinical decisions.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
