      Job Title: Structural Engineer


      Job Description

      In this role, you will spend your time researching, analyzing, and solving structural deficiencies involving high-rises, historical buildings, parking structures, plazas, building envelopes, water-retention structures, tunnels, and bridges. You will also be responsible for providing forensic investigation, behavior evaluation, repair design and budgeting, preparation of reports, repair documents, and construction administration. You will evaluate, assess, and devise a plan of action.

      Responsibilities

      • Research, analyze, and solve structural deficiencies in various structures.
      • Provide forensic investigation and behavior evaluation.
      • Design and budget repairs.
      • Prepare reports and repair documents.
      • Administer construction processes.
      • Evaluate, assess, and devise action plans.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience in restoration, forensic engineering, and structural engineering.
      • Proficiency in building envelope management.
      • Registered professional engineer or ability to obtain a professional license.
      • 5+ years of experience in forensics, restoration, and/or building envelope fields.
      • Willingness to travel within the Chicago area and occasionally for regional work or conferences.
      • Proficiency in Revit, Structure, Autocad, and structural analysis.

      • Strong restoration experience and superior problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
      • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with decision-makers at all organizational levels.

      • Self-initiation and reliance.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
