      Structural Engineer

      Job Description

      Execute engineering best practices on a wide variety of projects for diverse clients, adapting swiftly to new environments. Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, and wood framing. Design and study foundations and site infrastructure elements such as shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, pedestrian bridges, and pavements. Collaborate using Revit software to create 3-dimensional models of building structures in conjunction with client Building Information Models (BIM). Be actively involved in all structural project aspects, including design/study development, construction management, project management, RFI's/RFPs/Submittals, and client meetings as needed.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist Senior Structural Engineers and Project Managers in producing project plans, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, technical memorandums, and cost estimates.
      • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for infrastructure projects.
      • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, cities/clients, and other public agencies.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficient in Revit with 2 years of experience within a building structural environment.
      • Strong skills in structural analysis and calculations.
      • Knowledge of RISA and Intercalc.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
      • Proficient with Excel and Blue Beam or ability to learn.
      • Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills.
      • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
      • Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations and interpreting reports.
      • Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable.
      • Physically able to perform work in the field.

      Work Environment

      Initially, work 5/4 days in office, transitioning to 3 days in office and 2 days at home. The environment is team-oriented with ample communication, promoting career growth and development in a close-knit, supportive atmosphere.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $33.06 - $38.46/hr.
