Job Description
- Req#: 13234
- Assist with the structural design, calculations, and engineering of utility-scale solar projects
- This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solar engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- 2+ years of prior civil/structural engineering experience working with a professional design firm
- EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Knowledgable in AutoCAD, RISA3D (or structural softwares), coding language and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Overview
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Civil/Structural Analyst to join our Akron, Ohio (OH) office. As a critical member of the Renewable Energy team, you will perform a variety of civil/structural engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
