      We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and the Bell 360 Invictus Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.

      Structural Test Lab Engineering

      Bring your experience and ideas to help us support the flight test and fatigue test environments at Bell. You’ll work with other engineers and technicians at Bell to develop, design and conduct multiple tests on aircraft components. Tests conducted consist of fatigue, static, ballistic, vibration and others. This role is an integral part of the testing team at Bell, working to further improve component lives and certification activities across multiple platforms.

      What you’ll be doing as a Structural Test Lab Engineer

      Develop and design test fixtures to test various aircraft components to agreed upon requirements.

      Interact with functional groups and programs to ensure test requirements are achieved. In this, you will also develop and author test plans to communicate testing requirements for various aircraft components.

      Perform initial post-test analyses and author the final results report disseminating those results.

      Ensure testing is being done per laboratory procedures and producing useable results as well as provide guidance and instructions for risk assessment and abatement on assigned tasks.

      Interact with supervision for task assignments, progress, status, and results and with technicians to ensure proper test assembly and conduct.

      Provide timely information to functional groups and programs.

      Skills You Bring To this Role

      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

      Ability to work effectively within a team.

      Ability to prioritize a variety of assignments as well as have good organizational skills.

      Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, reports, specifications and engineering instructions.

      Excellent communication skills, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, both internal and external, and brief leaders/customers.

      What you need to be successful

      We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.

      Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

      Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.

      Proficiency in CATIA V6 or 3Dx preferred.

      Familiarity with hydraulics preferred.
