      Job Description

      Responsibilities

      • Weld using flux cored arc welding (FCAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) processes on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum structural shapes, tubing, and piping.
      • Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to specified dimensions for building and assembling using standard tools, materials, motions, and practices of the welding trade.
      • Collaborate with the lead welder to ensure proper weld procedures, material type, and rod size are accurately assessed for each project.
      • Review engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
      • Make continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly.
      • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.

      Essential Skills

      • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
      • 5+ years of professional experience in GTAW welding with materials such as SCH 10 stainless steel pipe and SCH 10 carbon steel pipe.
      • 5+ years of professional experience in FCAW welding with materials such as stainless steel and carbon steel.
      • Previous welding qualifications in accordance with governing codes such as AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, or ASME Section IX.
      • Highly proficient in tube/pipe cutting, grinding, and fabrication.

      Work Environment

      The team operates on 5/11 schedules, with shifts from 6:30am to 6pm and 6:30pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday. The facility is climate controlled, offering comfort during work hours.

      This is a Contract position based out of Cocoa, Florida.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
