      Main Purpose:

      The Structured Finance group within Trafigura is responsible for:
      • Offering our customers working capital and funding solutions to further Trafigura’s commercial objectives
      • Securing non-standard trade finance solutions to support Trafigura’s capital and liquidity requirements.

      The Structured Finance Analyst will assist in the origination, analysis, negotiation, documentation, execution, and risk & portfolio management of structured finance transactions and in particular those for independent oil and gas producers managed by Trafigura’s Upstream Finance team. The team member will coordinate closely with commercial teams and support functions across the energy, metals, bulks, and carbon transition sectors, and will interact with customers and financial institutions globally.

      Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

      • Liaising with borrowers and facility agents about covenants to manage compliance with agreements
      • Contributing to the setup of a monitoring dashboard of the oil & gas upstream financing book
      • Processing KYC requests, bank account approvals, etc
      • Centralizing profit and loss from transactions, both financing PnL and commercial flows (liaising with the trading and deals desks)
      • Familiar with cash flow models in Excel
      • In time, management of the semi-annual borrowing base redeterminations

      Experience and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
      • 3-5 years experience in a bank, in the team in charge of portfolio management for bank loans, ideally for the Oil and Gas industry
      • Needs to be familiar with the Oil and Gas industry to understand the drivers of the business

      Reporting to Head of Upstream Finance
