Job Description

- Providing excellent customer service, greeting and assisting departmental visitors, faculty, and staff at the front desk
- Answer, screen, and route phone calls, respond to/forward voicemails
- Ensure main office/mail room/copy room areas are organized and presentable
- Monitor and restock copy room supplies as needed; receive and distribute mail and packages
- Running errands on campus
- Performing clerical duties that support departmental operations and projects
- Confident with written communication
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must be in good conduct standing with the University of Florida.
- General office experience
Classification Title: STU AST - CLERICAL & ADMIN Job Description: The Department of English is hiring a part-time OPS or Federal Work Study (FWS) student to provide support for general office duties and departmental projects during the summer semester with the potential for continued employment Fall 2025. Hours are flexible based on students’ schedules with availability between 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, 10-20 hours per week based on work permit.
Duties will include the following:
Expected Salary: $13.00 per hour
