- You are currently completing or have recently completed (graduated within the last six months) an undergraduate level or master’s level studies in either Business, Marketing or Human Resource Management from a post-secondary educational establishment based in Nova Scotia
- Experience with logistics management, event planning and recruitment is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to generate innovative, practical solutions to challenging situations
- Demonstrated openness to change and ability to manage complex, ever-changing environments
- Detailed oriented and ability to follow direction
- Able to function well within in a team setting and independently
- Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining the same standard
- Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Short-assignment, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Approximately 3 months, January - April, Winter 2024. Dates are subject to change.
- Location Details: Halifax. Willingness exists to accommodate students in areas beyond Halifax based on interest, and qualifications. One Person One Record Team supports a flexible work environment for work from home, in-office, or hybrid model.

About the Opportunity
About One Person One Record (OPOR):
One Person One Record is a vision and strategy for healthcare transformation in Nova Scotia, in partnership with Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. This agile program takes an experimental, and evidence-informed approach to the re-design of healthcare processes. OPOR enables a foundation for improved health system governance, integration of patient information across the care continuum, and the standardization of processes and practices.
This internship provides a unique student opportunity to participate and gain experience within multiple program projects.
OPOR consists of a multidisciplinary team from Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health with a variety of clinical, business, IT, program management, and leadership backgrounds. The team works collaboratively with internal and external partner organizations to provide expertise in guiding the transformation of healthcare in Nova Scotia. The OPOR program contains multiple components:
OPOR Clinical Information System (OPOR-CIS) : This project involves the replacement of the three existing hospital information systems with a core Clinical Information System. It is designed to simplify the clinical systems environment enabling it to be extended into the larger community.
OPOR Clinical Standardization: The organizational focus of this project is the implementation of governance, and evidence informed best practice in standardization. The work supports the overall One Person strategy and is foundational to the implementation of OPOR-CIS. OPOR Clinical Standardization represents a coordinated approach to the development and delivery of provincially adjudicated and clinician-developed clinical standardization.
OPOR Clinical Adoption, Organization Change Management, Education and Learning, Training and Support is the organizational focus on implementation of the OPOR-CIS as well as the ongoing needs for adoption, training, and support related to use of technology in clinical practice. This work supports the overall OPOR strategy of continuous learning, improvement, and care transformation.

The One Person Team also want to learn from you! The success of our interns is a program priority. In addition to providing broad support duties to the One Person Team and the needs of our health partners, the One Person Team endeavors to provide interns with experiences to enrich personal career interests and goals during the internship. One Person Team members provide regular one-on-one mentorship throughout the internship term.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director At-The-Elbow (ATE) Support, the OPOR Student Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development of strategies in guidance of the ATE strategic direction such as recruitment, logistics, and human resourcing.

Compensation and Incentives
$21.00 Hourly + 4% in lieu of benefits and vacation. Wages are matched to academic program.
